It was great to be invited to We Love Lichfield’s grant giveaway. I was aware of this local Lichfield charity but didn’t clearly understand how they help the local community, particularly voluntary groups.
Simon Price of Arthur Price is the Patron of We Love Lichfield and did a fantastic job hosting the event. Simon explained the history of the fund and how it was set up. What I thought was great and different to other charities. The raised capital gets invested, and only the interest is given out as grants to ensure that the scheme is sustainable for the future.
The event was held at The George Hotel, which was a beautiful backdrop from which to hear from the recipients of the grants and how it would help them and the wider community.
